Mrs. Preeti Sharma was invited at Barcelona, Spain for attending an International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) as one of the key speaker. As part of the conference, she was also interviewed by the Spanish press, and her article was published in ‘La Vanguardia’ on 1st November 2012.

Mrs. Preeti Sharma was the proud recipient of the “International Woman Entrepreneurial Challenge Award-IWEC 2007”. This award is jointly instituted by the FICCI FLO, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.
At Barcelona in a glittering awards ceremony, Preeti Sharma was awarded the second prize “In recognition of an outstanding career as a woman entrepreneur.” This was due to the noteworthy work that she has done as a first generation woman entrepreneur and in building Pragati as a very strong brand in the corporate IT training space. The awards ceremony was covered extensively by the Media. Good press coverage was done in leading Newspapers, Radio and TV Channels in Barcelona and Spain.
This award was indeed a remarkable moment for India and Indian Women.

IWEC – International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge – is an initiative of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Manhattan (New York) and FICCI/FLO (the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organization) supported by The US Department of State. The goal is to develop a global business network for successful women business owners, helping them gain and expand access to international markets.
IWEC also presents a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and connectivity among women business owners worldwide setting the stage for new business opportunities and joint ventures, and promoting social dialog among women entrepreneurs and business leaders.
She was part of a panel on “Global Strategy: Doing Business on the Earth” chaired by Prof. Mike Rosenberg of IESE where she spoke about the global realities and future challenges that make doing business around the world more complex than ever before. She discussed strategic approaches for dealing with them.
